The ascent of mont Laurier allows you to walk through various ecosystems, representing all the richness of the northern territory. From the top of the mountain, you will have a 360 degree view of the lakes and forests surrounding the city of Matagami. Your efforts will be well rewarded with blueberries and Labrador tea leaves that you can pick along the way.
The entrance is at km 10 of the route de la Baie-James. Access to the trails is free of charge.
